What a drag, but someone will have to kill me before I stop playing guitar.

  • it's been a crazy time for strokes within' and around me n' mine lately and so as a musician and very close to one that is recently going thru this you were the first video I came across and would love to see where you are at now with all this. so I subscribed ... just doin' sum research online and wishing you the best in your recovery. stay on your path and mindset here even if you feel great. keep on rockin'

  • @DrumAddict324 Hey buddy, thanks for reaching out. You know, by some miracle, I have mostly recovered and live a pretty normal life. On most days I can completely shut out the lingering effects of numbness, tingling and discomfort on the left side of my body, but there are some days especially the ones where I am stressed, where the discomfort returns. There is hope I think for most people, while for other musicians, this is a devastating or life ending event.

  • Hey Stratman I love your videos. Dec 24, 2005 I had a major stroke, my right side was completely paralyzed. I've been rehabbing ever since and am just starting to regain the ability to play. I found your videos by searching for people playing guitar after a stroke. Thanks so much for your videos.

  • @SuperGolgotha How are you doing now, are you recovering and is your playing ability coming back?

  • I've been playing for 25 years and joined a band that plays many tunes that you have on here. I've been lazy and perused youtube for the ins and outs of different riffs to get ideas on where to play them.

I found you on here and have ripped you off on several occasions and consider your renditions pretty accurate.

After seeing that this video after you have had a stroke, I have to say that my fondness for you grows. You are a bad mother and I wish you the best. You are inspirational.

  • I am overwhelmed by your kind words.

Some people rag on me and my videos, but you are one of the ones who get why I do this. It is for people just like you.

  • Thanks for posting this.

It sounds like you're staying positive. Keep at it!

I suffered a couple of strokes 3 years ago(affected on my left side for me too) and one of the hardest things for me to accept is that i can't play liker I used to.

  • Sorry to hear that bro, I would imagine that has to be pretty scary not knowing if you could ever play again.Just stay positive and lead a better lifestyle and you should be back jammin @ 100%.Best of luck.

  • Best luck and wishes to you! Keep on rockin'!!!

  • hope you are feeling better, take care
