Back with Charlie Pickett in his dark, dark attic-loft, we take a gander at yet another slab-bodies Gibson. We're pretty sure this one's a Les Paul Special Faded, though Charlie refers to it as a Jr. Man is it dark up there; if it weren't for those shorts, we might not be able to see anything.

  • It's a Gibson Les Paul Special DC Faded. Bought mine in 2005-ish, in custard yellow. Body slightly shallower than originals and a harder body edge radius.

And it's not a Junior. Easy way to tell them apart. Two soapbar P90's, it's a Special. One dog-ear P90 it's a Junior.

Yup its definitaly a Les Paul I can assure you that 100% check this ay the official gibson web site. Its not the same model but it shows it a Les Paul

So yes these are Les Paul double cutaways.. SGs have pointy horns not rounded ones...

  • @rabs97 xD than its a weird les paul because the body model is an sg but if u say so

No way man.. I have two of them.. it clearly says Les Paul on the headstock.. Look up the Les Paul DC Faded... thats exactly what it is.. Its a copy of a 60s guitar called the Les Paul Special... You can also get Les Paul Standards in a double cutaway (I want one of those next). The Les Paul DC faded also has an awesome 60s slim neck and plays like butter and sounds like thunder.... Best guitar ive ever owened in twenty years of playing...

  • Def not an sg. Positive it's a lp special. More than likely faded like the description says. Lots of old lp specials and jrs come in a dc body. Even the newer jr special-faded japan comes with the sc or dc body. Not sure if there are any custom shop dc models in production but I'd bet money that there are.

  • I'm sorry dude thats not a les Paul it's a Gibson SG !!!!

  • hello. i'm about to get this guitar for 400$, and i was wondering if youd recomend it for hard rock music, the one that im getting though, has humbuckers instead of the p90's,

    thanks!
