i really wish people (George Lucas and Adywan) would stop messing with the original Star Wars movies. the originals mean a lot to people. just because you CAN put in digital effects doesn't mean you SHOULD. the originals are fine the way they are.
keep the spin. it's more exciting

Im all on board with remastering to get better video quality, but I don't want any of the bad changes that went with it. One of the things I'm going to be doing soon hopefully is getting my hands on a torrented original copy and a blu ray copy and mixing them together to keep all the good stuff but also add in better visuals. Bitch all you want about changes, but if they improved nothing but the special effects it would have been amazing.

to light speed" you need to use your imagination and also what you may think you know about science!, i don't know much about theories about light speed travel but think about other physics, why do they have rifling inside guns, to make the bullets travel straighter, yet another theory as to why it spun originally!

im one of these ppl that agrees with both sides, yes movies needed to be revamped but also alot of parts should have been left alone eg the spining as falcon heads into light speed should have been kept, my reason is this when you think about it, when viewed from a ship in orbit around a planet it would appear to spin due to the laws of physics, that planet/solar system may be of a different rotation to where they are heading hench why in some lines "I need to make the calculations for the jump

e=mc^2 so this is fake!

@julianzolo I'm not. I'm severely allergik to wanna-be-like-Lucas...
-
@jfunf I am sorry you are severely allergic to CGI
-
@pnaught1 the originals are pathetic, Adywan knows Star wars requires CGI

The star-field spin is a nice touch when the Falcon makes the jump to lightspeed. Oh, and I LOVE the added special effects Adywan was so kind to put in, it expands the movies and makes it feel more real.

@OpeningSalvoe They're talking about the exterior shot as the Falcon recedes into the distance (and not the interior cabin star-stretching sequence as I first thought also).
imo I'd have to agree with others here; the rotation makes for a more dynamic shot.
I wonder whats the point of this remake?

@jfunf -- If you're speaking of Adywan's "Star Wars: Revisited", he fixed mistakes and special effects to make it just a bit better than it was originally.

@davnes007 What was the mistakes? As in - the approaching to bespin - what was the mistake there? Or the bueish ambient light of the hoth planet? Was it mistake? Or is it the directors idea?
I see in this an ambition were he just unable to create something with the same quality and oh well want to get some of the Lucas fame. ILM is not enough skill but this guy .. SHURELU he is better(sarcasm):)

@jfunf -- Well, if you don't agree with the changes he mad, don't watch it.

I don't see the stars spinning. What the fuck you talkin bout Willis?

@OpeningSalvoe -- When the Falcon jumps into lightspeed, the entire starfield rotates.
