What a lovely song, I remember my childhood watching Punch and Judy on the seafront in the summer holidays, I am going to learn it and hopefully not mess it up. Thanks for posting.

takes me back about 40 yrs to the Sheffield Poly folk club and a young Roy Bailey, who was head of department at the time.

Looking on Google, it seems to be about 50/50!
However, he is a close family friend, and it is Conolly.

Sorry I haven't been on lately to reply to this John was on a bill at the Fylde Folk Festival in 2007. I'm sorry I can't remember the hotel though. He had loads of great songs but this was the only one I recorded.
