This is a review of the Tri-Tronics Sport Junior remote trainer and comparison to the PetSafe Big Dog Trainer.

Thank you Warner for sending me this collar system to review. I really appreciate it.

  • Guys no offense but I really do not understand why you guys are whining about the product. They are safe to use on dogs.

  • @HPMainMafia Thank you. I totally agree.

  • Those things should be banned.

  • @nintendoatarikiller I'm so sick of hearing that. You "positive" people don't know what you're talking about. I've trained two dogs with these and they are amazing. They don't hurt the dog at all. So do some research before you go talking about things you don't have any knowledge of.

  • @carrier2013 The collar itself is less painful then the bumper on a car. Hate to tell you.

  • How can you do that to a poor helpless animal? What is wrong with you???

  • thank you so, so, so much for posting this, carrier2013. i have been researching for several hours, couldn't decide which tri-tronics to go with. you really helped me make a decision. as for the morons with their "cruel" postings -- they're the ones you see on those ridiculous shows for human behavior training (It's Me or The Dog).

  • i personally test out the power of these collars on myself before using them on my dog. What people fail to realize is that these collars do not hurt the dog but rather give them a little "zap", if you can even call it that, to gets its attention and tell it that what it is doing is wrong.

  • @carrier2013 clearly thats what you keep telling yourself lol

  • Still waiting for a video of you using it on your dog and on yourself...

  • "When properly understood and employed, E-collars can be effectively used to modify dog behavior without stress or fear. Given the potential benefits for dog behavior control and the relatively harmless and innocuous nature, it is nothing short of appalling that so many respected authorities, who otherwise show evidence of intellectual integrity and scientific restraint, have chosen to condemn electronic devices, based on personal prejudice and the hearsay opinions of others.

  • Renowned author Steven R. Lindsay who has written the most coherent and comprehensive body of scientific knowledge about dog behavior and training, debunks many arguments against the e-collar.
