Snowflake - Jim Reeves
Additional information by artsevere : Jim recorded this song October 15, 1959, at the same session he recorded "He'll Have To Go" (and also "But You Love Me Daddy"). Jim and Chet were originally going to discard it as too much of a "novelty" song, but Mary Reeves loved it and kept the tape. It was released posthumously in 1966 and was a big hit for Jim.

  • @blearghp

To each his own, it would be a dull world if we all liked the same.

  • My older brother had the snowflake song on a Jim Reeves album which was eventually tossed out. I didn't think I would ever hear that song again because I couldn't find a recording. Thanks.

  • i sang on but you love me daddy. R. Stevie Moore

  • @dagenhamdaveNo1 Yup. But not if one is disliking something that's good. It would be a dull world if people dislike roses but loved tulips. Better if they preferred the latter but not dislike the former.

  • onje of the Better Jim recordings for me, and I think, ( I hopeà I have all of his songs, while I was 35 years country dj in belgium, with 12 to 15 hours a week

  • I have loved this song since it came out in 1966. I used to lay on the floor beside Moms old portable record player and play this record over and over. I just did a cover version of it and posted it on my channel. Stop by and check it out sometime.
