  • Hi Majnu2006

I just have a question about a move in the video, at 5:04 after black plays Rxc2 attacking white's queen, what would happen if white decided to trade his queen for black's 2 rooks? (...Rxc2, Qxc2 Rxc2, Kxc2)

Would you say the queen is better here or the 2 rooks? Materially it seems an even trade (Q+P for R+R) although white's king does then become exposed.

Thanks for posting these excellent videos! 5 stars and favourited.

  • Hi,

White would be in big trouble then because of the exposure of the white king.

    For example:

    Qxc2, Rxc2

Kxc2, Qxa2 and black threatens to continue the attack with Ba4+

  • Thanks for your comments.

Probably at high level the 9.0-0-0 draw variations works. But at my amateur level everthing is posible. :)

  • i am also interested in dragon but mostly i lost with blacks.

  • Yes, it's not an easy variation. Very tricky. I will make more videos on the Dragon.

  • Nice on Majnu. Have you seen my Alekhine games?

  • I'll have a look right now. :)

  • thats why kasparov is one of the best, what an ending

  • wow Kasparov is magnificent. At first I didn't see the way black could win because I was looking for a way to mate or go up a piece. I knew the obvious rook takes pawn then Ka3. Then in the three seconds before the move I saw the rook taking on c2 and then getting the discovered check and I nearly fell out of my chair. Kasparov, the dreaded.

  • in tennis it's federer, in golf it's woods, in basketball was jordan. In chess it's kasparov.

  • @Majnu2006 CAn you please annotate the 14th games where Anand played the scandinavian against Kasparov?

  • 7:37, Rc2+?

  • @KungFuMisty I am black, your mom is white, hence why you're mixed.

  • Hi Majnu , dont play the Dragon, u will get mated loads of times on the H-file. I think its not that good of an opening. Like Fischer said, Sac Sac mate.

  • first of all. the game is "anand-kasparov 0/1

second, chessfanatyc, i think queen vs pawn for 2 rooks, black queen always win, cause, the king is exposed, this is the first reason, but the second is that white can create more easy a free pawn than white. the only good is that white knite is stronger that the black bishop. firebird say =/- but it won't be easy

  • @Databamse Normally, the person whose name is first (someone vs someone) The first person is white.

  • Who the hell is who. There is no description who is white or black.

  • i l iked your analysis , except for the 1 , 2 and 3 thing ,
