While I wholeheartedly believe in giving special needs animals a chance at a normal life - most of the animals I've taken in have been either runts who were not expected to survive, abandoned, abused or in some way physically handicapped; to continue to breed animals who have already given birth to offspring with serious disabilities caused by genetic abnormalities is selfish and irresponsible. Caring for animals with special needs is rewarding, but intentionally creating more is cruel.

@ikristie apparently tho you don't breed for the love of the breed or for the health of dogs in general or you would have never bred her again after you KNEW she carried such a crippling genetic trait. Breeding your dogs because you love them is NOT enough of a reason to breed your dog.
