"The Lord's my Shepherd, I'll not want;
He makes me down to lie;
In pastures green, He leadeth me;
The quiet waters by.

  • That is brilliant,good on you WBA.

  • @jayfuture187 On Sunday games the one side of the Brummie Road always sing this before the games which we usually just save for goals, so I think you might be right about that!

  • Piss off.scruffy bastards

  • wow man i love it when we sing this!

    its the best man! but yeah i agree delilah is a good one aswell

  • I think it dates back to when the first Sunday games were played in the football league! there was a big uproar by the C of E about football getting in the way of sunday services and this was a bit of a joke as it was a popular hymn in those days and its just stuck! at least thats the story ive been told!

  • I dno m8, weve song it for as long as ive known, well before Jeff Astels funeral and my dad sed hes known us sing it for as long as hes been going to the albion which is what like 40 years so i dnoo, jsut 1 of them things enit a song that ppl jsut think lets give it a go

  • What is the origin behind Albion singing this song? Was it one of the hymns played at Jeff Astles funeral?

  • The Lord's my Shepherd I'll not want He makes me down to lie In pastures green He leadeth me The quiet waters by. The West Brom The West

    love it
