@GisherJohn24 I hate it when people tell me to slow down and take a deep breath.

The guy on Oprah and Rebecca Glass (from this video) have since said that the device is not what it's sold as. Proof, Google this:

Short term fluency is NOT hard to accomplish for a stutterer, long term improvement is difficult. People focus nearly all the effort on the outward signs, the struggling, while those are simply the symptoms of what's going on beneath the surface. Those underlying problems need to be confronted and dealt with.

I do stutter. It's not as bad as her's (not anymore) but it's still hell whenever I try and talk and I know it's coming. This video did bring me to tears, but i'm glad I came across it. Gonna look into this device. Thank you for posting it.

My older sister has stuttered since a toddler, I learned it from her...and have had a speech impediment since I was 13yrs. old. IT's frusterating because I cannot say what I want to, on my bad days...I have to ask my family and friends to order for me--because all people do is stare and giggle. I did try out for this device and it did nothing for me. But glad it helps some people.

See at 2:12 how her friend is biting her nails. That's what my mother does too. It is because we feel uncomfortable hearing another person stutter and one who is barely able to communicate. So biting one nails, or twirling one's hair is a sign we are nervous. We have no right to make anyone feel uncomfortable. But yet that is what stuttering does. It makes others clearly apprehensive and uncomfortable. Rebecca does not deserve a speaking difficulty.

I'm not really sure when my stutter started but it's been with me since as long as I can remember til the present. But I've had some periods where I never stutter. My longest non-stuttering period lasted about a couple of years even! But then it came back. I think it has alot to do with confidence and state of mind. If I'm really happy and in a talkative mood I can speak fluently.. trouble is I'm always depressed and never in the mood to talk, so every word is forced, and then I stutter
unless you stutter, don't give us stutterers your ignorance by saying things you know nothing about. Deep breath is not the key.

i stutter but i thank god that i don't have that severe. is very hard to cope with that problem. everytime i see someone who stutters i know what they are going through.. you will only know if you are a stutter. no one deserves to have it. it is the most frustrating thing to have.
