This is not an SLX and its the diode based model.
I'm using a 2x12 cab with a Cannabis Rex and Governor.
Obviously the volume in the video is VERY low but the amp still sounds okay. It sound's amazing at loud volumes though.
alot of people think JCM 900's are fizzy but with the EQ set right they're not. There's alot of videos on youtube showing how you can make the JCM 900 sound thin and bad!
Loved mine. With some pedals it was the greatest sounding amp i have ever owned. I kick myself everyday for getting rid of it.

These jcm900's are one of the best amp's Marshall ever made, specially 2100/2500 MkIII models. Only made '90-'92. I think much better than jcm 800, depends what you like but much warmer and more gain if needed. Dont ever mess with dual revebs except 90-'92 made...There's been a lot confusion about jcm 900

Mine's unaltered, and it doesn't sound fizzy at all -- no matter the EQ settings. Pushing the Power stage above the Preamp stage can make it a little muddy, but cranking the presence or pushing the preamp with an external EQ fixes that. I think most users just have bad recording, or use shitty super OD boxes.

Um, dito. what are the EQ settings? Plus, I can barely hear the amp at all.
