  • Thanks for the support Geistjaeger (Ghosthunter)! I saved my insurance provider $300 and me half a day in the doctors office for a tooth that was going to come out 3 weeks later anyway. I also save quite a bit sewing myself up just like you do. I guess the others making negative comments don’t consider the cost to the health care industry in time and money. Seems like everyone has to go to a professional for more then a stubbed toe.

  • ok so now what do you feel the hole with?

  • I didn't need to fill it; it was going to be pulled 6 weeks later anyway. It was my wisdom tooth, which needed to come out because it was causing problems. So, why would I spend money with a dentist to repair the filling when it was going to be removed soon after it was fixed? I figure I saved my dental plan an easy $350.

  • call that a drill, lol! Just kidding, nice 1 matey! Pls rate my vid!

  • Hello, thanks for sending me your link. You are right, my video pales to your drill job. I really don't know what to say. My tooth was going to be pulled anyway so all I did was cut the enamel back to get out the loose filling. Yours is something completely different. Should I make you a tooth so you can screw the thing in? Cheers, Al

  • Hey Mate, saw your latest series of videos and I am impressed with your skill as a technician and fabricator. Saw your first one and was wondering what you were going to do to fix your smile. Now I know! Take care, Al

  • Hi MovingUpp, I had to stitch myself up again the other day. Yeah, it hurt, but still saved myself a boatload of money and didn't have to spend half the day in the emergency room waiting. Went deep enough to catch an artery and it took 6 to close it back up. I have done this a number of times now. Last week a freind that was using my lathe cut himself badly and we put three in to fix that. I should have posted that on Youtube but didn't take a video, just pictures.

  • I'd like to tell your daughter to "think fast" and punch her in the face. When she got hit, I'd tell her she's an idiot.

What do you mean "sewing myself up" in that comment above? Doing your own stitches? If so, how painful is that?

  • @olliespeed22

    ur an idiot

  • You know people who do this sort of thing don't get the respect they deserve. I gave myself stitches a few months ago and I saved myself a boatload of money, learned a new skill, and got an anecdote to tell other people at parties. Most people don't have the kind of guts or know-how necessary to do this sort of thing and I commend you for it.

  • where on earth did you get the drill?

  • OMFG. That is not a good idea. In fact, it's down-right dangerous. You realise how easily you could've hit a nerve? Even done professionally, it can still happen. It happened to me after they removed my lower wisdom teeth by general anaesthetic. They affected the nerve and the left side of my mouth was numb for weeks, although I was told it could've been permanent. You got lucky this time, but next time, I'd go to a professional.

  • DAD! that's very harmful!!!

  • Dang Bro; don't ya know ya can use (JBweld) to fix yer teeth. lol

  • @olliespeed22 wow!
