I would hate to see this on the console. This brings back the classic X1-3, 4 was great too but 5+ was .. a let down. Z1-4 are amazing as is.

The first was Megaman. Then Megaman and Bass. Megaman X was then and the rest is like you've said.
Zero first appeared in Megaman X, he was a playable character since Megaman X1, but you couldn't really choose Missions with him. He wasn't using his Z-Buster in the first X games, he had only his saber. I guess things changed for real in Megaman X6, when everyone thought Zero is dead and X got his Saber. This was X could use the Z-Saber, of course not as good as Zero did use it later in the game.
