CHICKASHA -- Having won their last two home games and feeling a potential momentum switch for the Drover women, senior Liberty Payne said maintains a positive attitude about the rest of the season.

"We are in a tough conference and anything can happen any night, so we just have to stay positive and working hard," she said.

Together pushing through the struggles the team has had this year, she said, has helped improve team chemistry and contributed to the wins.

"We overcame a lot of obstacles this season, and each obstacle made us closer," she said. "We had to become closer to be successful. When you overcome things like that, it's just natural."

As much as she loves basketball, it isn't Payne's only passion.

"Both my parents compete in rodeo, and my dad grew up doing it so of course we grew up doing it. It's always been a big part of my life," she said. "Barrel racing; that's what I do. I love it."
