Discover the underwater world of Jacques Cousteau more than 75 years ago. Lost for years to a storage container they are now ready for viewing. Short film clips (approx. 1.5 minutes each) from the five 8mm film reels are spliced together for you to review. They are available for sale www.bennettvideo.com at 'Cousteau-8mm film reels'. Only one set available.

Apparently you haven't noticed the movie, auto, and music promotions. These are privately owned films.

Watch the opening again it says 65 years and than says 1940's.

  • 75 years ago? as stated by this 2010 Youtube video ? That means that this was shot in 1935... but those excerpts are from three films: Épaves (1943) and two official documental reels from 1947 and 1948 made by Cousteau during his GRS period (GRS: Groupement de Recherches sous-marines). So... no my friends, definitely not 75 years ago... 67 years old for the oldest film (Épaves) and 62 for the more recent one (Une plongée du Rubis).

  • Someone always trying to sell sh-t on YouTube that rightfully belongs in the public domain. Greedy bast-rds. Got a copyright on this stuff?
