  • How can I use GenieSys Declipper? I downloaded it but it doesn't come with an exe file.

  • @Bobertoq No it's a plugin for wave editors.

  • you know now that i have had sometime to master dominion, it's actually a very good song. My recommendation is don't de clip. just simply lower the volume of the song. if anyone else wants some good instruction on how to use it properly, PM me

  • Why not de-clip?

  • You have the right idea, ajuk1. But you're terrible at applying it.

You don't remove clipping so fucking much that it drops the volume to ~25% and try amplifying it back up.

Also, no source code, no download. I'm not downloading that shit Dominion if it's illegal for me to make changes to it or send copies of it to friends.

  • The reason I amped it back up was because the de-clipper over compensates.

  • You would sound good reading audo

  • Just get the fucking vinyl. Seriously. It's twice as dynamic as the CD, and it sounds great. Way better than the version you created.

  • @MegaBigA2

    Its stil better than nothing

  • @2pacbiggie4334 Yeah, but the peaks will still be flat and it'll still sound bad.

I mean, even this declipper thing doesn't improve it much. It still has unnatural distortion, and the song doesn't get any louder when the guitar enters. You can't bring back dynamics once it's been lost.

  • @2pacbiggie4334 Yeah, but the peaks will still be flat and it'll still sound bad.

  • to improve loudness, use multiband compressors, eqs and multiband limiter.

  • @Bobertoq

    it does work with audacity

  • @ajuk1 Does it work with any free wave editors? I can't get it to work with Audacity, and all the editors it lists in the help file cost money.
