I'd love to see Laura Benanti as Elphaba.
-
best number in this musical for sure.

This is the only Broadway play I've ever seen, but I was truly moved... It was definitely an experience... Can't wait to see it again... =]

Is this a good song to do for a sort of talent show? My friend and I are desperately looking for a duet (soprano and alto) for a show at a town fair.
-
this is my duet song! :)

@OohcoolProductions You are rewriting the show. Pay attention to Louise's final dialog before Rose's Turn. There is a very distinct reason as to why all four previous Louises and the two filmed ones did NOT sing well.
-
@pudgeuncle Louise wasn't seen as very graceful either but she ended up dancing/stripping as a career. How come you don't take issue with that? Regardless, you have to remember that within the story they're not actually singing here. This is simply a scene transformed into song because that's what musicals do. From what I recall, Louise sings not so well in the actual performances.

Do you have the songs "Dainty June & Her Farmboys" and "Broadway"? Could you upload them please? Pretty please? :D
-
@pudgeuncle I think it works if Louise can sing better because then she can sing bad the entire show, however when her confidence is boosted as "Gypsy Rose Lee" she sounds a lot better, because sh ebelieves in herself.
Also, the song "Little Lamb" is more of a wish to herself, so it would help if there was a gem of singing talent in her voice.
I'm sure she could live without your advice.

Leigh Ann was easily the best thing about this production. I can't judge Laura since I saw her understudy.
