These wood thrushes were singing and nesting on our property near Easley in central Missouri. They are one of the great joys of living in our block of forest.

  • Lovely video! I've always thought Wood Thrushes have one of the nicest songs (out of the birds that I'VE heard, anyways). What bird is making the 1 note call in the background at 1:13?

  • @mattzx003 - I think that it's a Brown-headed Cowbird. Also in the background at various points: Scarlet Tanager, Kentucky warbler, Northern Cardinal, Rose-Breasted Grosbeak, and Eastern Wood Peewee.

Thank you GOD for all these beautiful creatures!!!

  • I think the wood thrush has the most beautiful song of any North American bird. It is my favorite bird.

  • @Linuxrat dear friend, I am not sure what is your understanding of Heaven and of the Bible itself...!! They have no souls, so they won't be in heaven? I am not sure what you mean...?

  • @goodoldenoch

According to your bible, there are no animals or birds in heaves since they have no souls...Not that i believe there is a heaven or hell or a god anyway, but there you have it.

  • That is wonderful!

  • @goodoldenoch Greetings saiph84... what do you mean by 'wait'?... I am not sure...?
