  • As good as Hinton's "Black Fly", if not better. It was nominated for the 2004 Oscar which is a great achievement but in my opinion it ranked third out of five, behind "Destino" and the winner, "Harvey Krumpet", and in front of the very warming "Boundin" and the slightly amusing "Gone Nutty".

  • I couldn't agree more. I absolutely loved Harvie Krumpet. The man behind it has just released his first full length film called Mary and Max.

  • I LOVE the animation style. People love the doodle style. I wish they had shown each frame on little yellow post its sitting on someone's desk. The banjo music is good and uninhibited sound effects are real good. And those are the ONLY things I like here.

Is anyone surprised this is from a French Canadian? Who else. I don't purport the whole "Consumerism is bad" crap that popular now. This film tries induce guilt trips for just eating and enjoying, even when you go and catch your own food.

Loved the metaphors and such. Really shows that animation doesn't have to be about realism, you can depict anything, makes me think.

Loved the car guzzling the gas :D
