@TheHeroHartmut This makes the most sense ever.

@OrangeBandanna I feel exactly the same. xD I think the main goal of this song was to show the fact that Wily succeeded to create a heartless robot, but it ended up becoming full of itself. And when finally Megaman stood up, he wanted to prove his worth. :3

Something about the song, maybe the rhythm, the acoustic guitar, or the drums, just gives it a more steampunk-ish feel to me, which is cool. Steampunk Metalman... hmm... he's not that far off from steampunk already, especially with his cool stage. A few tweaks, and... Mega Man is in the 1800s.

@TheHeroHartmut In addition to his weapon being extremely effective, he's probably the easiest of the robot masters to kill with just the buster.

maybe he's just over confident?

It's my view that Metal Man, in this context, views battle as a game of sorts; as a dance. He may not have been defeated before Mega Man came along, so perhaps he simply didn't understand what sort of danger he was in.
I mean, a lot of the other Robot Masters refer how Mega Man had defeated 'the others'; maybe Metal Man is the first to have been challenged? Given how useful the Metal Blades are, it wouldn't be a surprise.

@OrangeBandanna No, but this song does make sense my friend. Metal man was built for combat. He knows nothing but combat and his only wish is to enter glorious final combat with megaman.

@JayeBad So basically,he's Vegeta?

I thought the theme was about Metal Man. I may be wrong.
the intro now sounds like the intro to a badass 80's action movie something with cops or detectives.

Yeah, I have to agree. Metalman just doesn't sound right if he doesn't have rocking metal in the background. But I can't disagree that this version is just.. Well, beautiful. I know it's weird, and I actually consider this to be one of the weakest written songs of the MM2 songs because it doesn't really talk about emotions, and without emotions, it's a bit hard to relate. So in reality, all this song has is it's catchiness. But this.. Just proves me wrong. Why am I getting a flame in my heart?
