I really like Renee singing opera and the songs of Richard Strauss but in my opinion like other opera singers she doesn't handle crossover well.
The original version of this in the movie "Carousel" is far superior.

@cosangel88 Not even close. She's only sung soprano roles. Lyric soprano, leaning towards spinto now that she's a bit older.

Sorry, I have the greatest respect for Renee's operatic work but this isn't the best rendition of this song by a long shot, just listen to the original in the film
