There are many ways to apply new canvas to the hull of a wooden canoe, and this is one of them. Members of the Great Rivers Chapter of the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) met in Dave Osborne's shop in Boulder Junction, WI, to canvas Howard's 1946 PennYan, following Howard's removal of fiberglass used to replace the canoe's original canvas.
