Are you color blind ? One is gray, the other one is black.

  • So what's the difference ?

I changed a jl 300/4 and 1000/1 for these amps... less money and more sound. The 5000d hits harder and uses a lot less power and the 2400/4 is clear and clean. Best bang for your buck trust me.......

  • @MarkyGoldstein Apart from the color, there are some fundamental differences: the black one can shift its LF and HF eq sections to "bell" mode. The grey's EQ sounds a bit more aggressive than the black; both in boost and cut. The grey seems to have that "grey" dry sound whilst the black seems to have that ebony sweetness.

  • I think at 1:23 he's trying to prove the similarities by flipping the polarity of one, which perfectly? cancels out each other. From my experience with those plugins, you start to hear the difference with the EQ's,

  • They both have their own flavour. The E-Channel has the warmer fatter sound to it, great for most applications especially drums. The G-Channel can sound a little harsh if you push it too much, but it has more bit and crispness to it. Works great on vocals or dull sounding guitars, just gotta treat her gently ;)

  • @markbowhill Check out Jbridge, it's what I've had to use and works pretty well - 99% of my waes plugins work in Win 7 using Jbridge.

  • There is a difference that E-channel has a bell low and hi shape, which I really prefer for what I do, but G-channel can use a filter as a sidechain and still be able to use the EQ. E-channel uses the filters and EQ as a sidechain. So I prefer G-channel when I want to use the EQ and sidechain filtering at the same time. [which is rather often, actually]

  • I have this plugin but i can't install it 'couse i have win7 and apparentrly don't run on this OS. have you some idea what can i do? if exist some way to use it on W7 or some new version to that OS? thank you for share!
