  • I have two Rodhesian Ridgebacks (around seven years the two of them). I know this breed well. The surreptitious suggestion of danger in this video is just sad. Some owners may be the ones who have problems and when they do the outcome always renders this interesting and challenging breed an informal and shallow opinion (and consequently action towards the breed) of aggressiveness and animosity. Excluding some forms of pathology wich any dog may, at any point, exhibit blame the owner not the dog

  • @kimballiana Those two "attacking" ridgebacks are mine. That's me that they're attacking. The injuries I received while filming this video were life threatening. Just kidding (yet again).

Anyone that comes in contact with Neffi and Ary realize immediately that they are the sweetest dogs in the world. They are the best ambassadors for our breed.

They are gentle around kids, horses, goats, chickens, cats and all other dogs. What are you doing clicking on dog attack links? Secret fetish?

  • Kimbaliana...get a life. This is done facetiously in jest, not seriousness! Anyone who knows anything can see than. Done tongue in cheek...get a tongue!

  • @nickgarza20

Amen to that. RRs are quick enough to hunt mice and strong enough to bring down a damn deer.

  • they were protecting their owner, we own a RR and if someone threatens the familly the they will react, that is the breed, we have 7 grand kids and he will protect them with his life, if you don't own a RR then you have nothing to say, this is a special breed of dog and would give his life to protect the familly as we would do for him.

  • There is another video about two RR barking at a guy. He probably would have felt threatened when they did, but if he had any idea about dogs, he would know that that was a "we are not sure about you" bark. If a RR would ever want to mame or kill somebody, there is no way that anything could stop him/her. Or have you ever tried to stop a train in full run. RRs are assertive and make their feelings known, but full blast aggression like in other breeds is rare.

  • We also have one in the family. These dogs are not aggressive. Never. This is the quietest, sweetest and most balanced dog I have ever experienced - from childhood until today. . Which can be of almost nothing unflappable. And highly intelligent - to quarrel very easily.

  • @nickgarza20

Correct., and those that own PB's usually have nothing for you to sue for after their pos dogs have damaged your property etc.

My tow RRB's were attacked by a stranger trespassing idiot with a four year old Un fixed pb, it was my pals nine month birthday to the day. The one not attacked only barked in the PB face till I beat with a shovel, and should have beat the owner too,

That 20 months and scars and trauma remain, but one of RRB is now 110 and it won't happen again

  • @kimballiana yet again another boring up themselves person, I do believe that the owner is simply making a mockory out of the principle that people class ridgebacks as a savage breed, Any half intelligent person would be able to spot this. Go spout some more internet copied words somewhere else.

  • i got a ridge back cross great dane i love him

  • That's exactly the information I would have liked you to post in the first place, you have so now. Thanks ;) Great pair of African Lion Hounds by the way, guess you enjoy them just has I do mine. My fetishes are much more pro-social :) Post ridges all the way, they are simply BRILLIANT dogs, but mind the disseminated ignorance of those who by chance click in here and just don't have the ability to grasp the humorous lark. It's those I was trying you to adress to with your reply :)
