What you said about psychological relief was right on. It's like having an imaginary friend that never goes away. Some people take comfort in knowing that it's god's will when they get diagnosed with ass cancer. =/

@tangledweb79 Shit.. everything is wrong with Christianity. If I don't believe in some false fairy-tale god, I would be sent to a fiery lake in an endless pit of agony for eternity.. just because I would intellectually realize there is no necessity to believe in a god anymore. Not with evolution present. Not with there being perhaps a infinte amount of galaxies out there, with a numberless amount of biological species. The belief of heaven & god is just psychological relief for many people.

Global warming is true! It already happened long ago.The highest concentrations of CO2 during all of the Paleozoic Era occurred during the Cambrian Period, nearly 7000 ppm 18 times higher than today. Carboniferous Period and the Ordovician Period were the only geological periods during the Paleozoic Era when global temperatures were as low as they are today. Late Ordovician Period was also an Ice Age while at the same time CO2 concentrations then were nearly 12 times higher than today
