really that is normal. check the game compatibility list for intel 945. doom is in there. but 10-15 FPS? I usually have about 20-30

why i say this is because on windows xp on a single core centrino 1.9 ghz 2 gigs of ram and nvidia 6400 laptop this game runs really good on ultra quality and looks great. oh and the computer with the 5770 has 8 gigs of ram

(For nVidia I meant the nVidia Geforce3, which runs Doom 3 much better than the 945)

Doom 3 is one game I would not recommend for the 945, however (and thus on any non-Ion netbook). While an Intel Atom is more than up to running Doom 3 at an adequate speed, the game relies heavily on some fancy 3D per-pixel lighting effects which were introduced with the nVidia (which was adapted for the original Xbox). Although the Intel 945 includes these effects, it does not cut the mustard in terms of performance.

In terms of performance the Intel 945 is roughly equivalent to the Sony PSP, although with much higher screen resolutions.

i use on my laptop acer aspire 5612wlmi an intel centrino core 2 duo 1.6 ghz. which one is better in you're opinion

core 2 duo is much better than dual core, of course both have two cores, but core 2s are more potent.
