"My conscience is clear. I have done nothing illegal in the ongoing IPL controversy. It has been a great privilege to serve the Union Cabinet. I thank the Prime Minister (Manmohan Singh) and Sonia (Congress President Sonia Gandhi) for giving me the opportunity," says Tharoor.
"I am determined to do my best for India and the ideals that brought me here. I'm proud to represent Kerala's capital in the Lok Sabha," the MP from Thiruvananthapuram read from a prepared speech.
Admitting that he was new to politics Tharoor pointed out that had led a long public life. He also hoped that Parliament "will move on from here to deal with serious issues".

The slight respect that I had for - Mr.Manmohan Singh, Mr. Chidambaram, Mr. S.M.Krishna, Mr.A.K.Antony & Mr. Pranab Mukerjee is totally lost now. They are ok to lose Mr.Tharoor & ok to let go off people like Sharad Pawar. How cheap! My family & I will never vote for INC & its allies. INC's only agenda is to get Rahul Gandhi into power & didn't want Mr.Tharoor to get popular & also didn't like the way Mr.Tharoor connected (Twitter) with aam aadmi/citizens. Freedom of speech? Bunch of hypocrites!

Dear Indian's this is very very bad news that Mr. Sasi Tharror is resigned from Minister. Can anyone explain to me what's wrong he had done?? No one thinks the good part of a person like Mr.Tharoor. If he influenced Ms.Sunanda to take the stake means he wants to just support his OWN STATE.Why do you want loose a proud ambasdor of india.

I have been closely watching Mr.Tharoor the day he became minister.Let me frank many of our Politicians Jealous about shashi tharoor and actually he got trapped by Modi and BJP.He was a soft target. Mr.Tharoor was an invaluable asset and great brand ambassador for India on the global level. We the younger generation have no doubt about his sincerity and dedication. India need ministers like tharoor irrespective any political parties.We the Indian youths requests Dr.Singji to put him back.

I believe he is honest,open and has a great vision. He doesnt fit within a corrupted ministers.But we need change. We need honest and open personality like tharoor as a minister. His experience definitely helps India. He dont know how to lie. That is the curse to him.But we need him as we need honesty and transparency in
