well i can explain the reason why it did not fair well at cinemas
at the time tim burton was releasing batman at the same year
as ghostbusters2 back in 1989 but tim burtons batman film grossed
higher than ghostbusters 2 and it did not get high acclaim than the first
ghostbusters film maybe if the released ghostbusters 2 in 1990 than
it would get higher reviews so blame tim burton for this.

@burtonrules123 Yeah. I actually expected him to be a bit weird and stuff, but he is actually quite cool.

@spicneo it was but in context of the first. its more effects and wow rather then raw comedy.

@dave00dance yeah egon is like the true GB cuz he invented all the stuff they use and is the real brains behind it. plus he has a much more distinctive look then any of the other white guys, with the big hair and glasses, and his strangely deep voice. even though everyone else might be funnier, egon is my favorite.

i really don't know why people put this movie down for its time it was a very good movie the acting was ahead of its time it is my favorite movie.
