Its pretty incredibly that Anathema could do this, proper doom, as well as the genuinely heavy doomdeath of Serenades, the Pink Floyd-esque era, their later Radiohead style, develop a unique and wonderful chilled-out, emotional rock style and now be releasing orchestral melodies. My hat comes off to those boys.

I think Anathema are never "selling themselves out" - they are true seekers for something called truth. They walk their way an speak their words and play their music. They do not care if the people love it or hate it, they just do it, and what could be more true?!
