By the time he was 19, JaMiel Cox had been performing for 4 years. The R&B heartthrob's self- titled debut album reached Billboard Internet Charts top fifteen immediately. Many aspiring singers dream of the lights and accolades of the stage as children and JaMiel Cox was no different. The Fort Pierce, Florida native has an undeniable vocal talent and musicality that echoes some of the brightest stars of our time. Listing Stevie Wonder, Prince, Mary J Blige and Luther Vandross as his inspirations, JaMiel's musical style is freshly easy, yet confident. Raised in Ft. Pierce, Cox grew up in the baptist church performing along side memebers of his musical family. He spent much of his college years competing in talent contests and dreaming of becoming a superstar. While attending Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Florida, JaMiel won the Homecoming talent show with his performance of "Love" by Musiq Soulchild. It was then that he began to seriously consider a future as a professional singer. He was soon in Orlando,FL featured in a weekly cafe' showcase titled "Clouds In My Coffee where he received formal training in the areas of stage presence and performance from one of the original "Drifters" Rev. James Watkins, the father of TLCs Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins. He also has sung background for Angie Stone at the 2008 Trump Awards. Today, you can find JaMiel Cox in Atlanta, Georgia hard at work compiling an array of original songs. JaMiel Coxs current CD project The Ups and Downs of Me is being various producers. His debut single Lost, has reached #14 on the internet charts and is being played in Europe and Japan.
