Hi! Any tips for if your stripe is only one round? Thanks!

@janericciardi Hmm...you might not like my advice for a one-round stripe. :) I would personally make it at least two rounds, because one round is going to have a prominent jog that you can't correct.

What if I'm using the purl stitch rather than st. stitch?

@paparazzimama This technique works when you are working in the round using purl stitch, or in garter stitch. It is just more obvious and easy to see the results in stockinette.

Thank you for the tip! I'm knitting a hat that changes from stockinette stitch to garter stitch for the brim. Can I use this technique for stitch switches as well or does it only work when you're changing colors?

@ienketube You know, I've never used this trick for switching from stockinette to garter while knitting in the round, but I do always use it when I switch from stockinette to moss stitch (the difference being that the first stitch of moss stitch is a K). Give it a try and see how it looks. You'll be able to tell if it's helping right away.
