Sweeps on a Bass - A response to the challenge set to Steven by Gomez

Just when you thought it was never going to be possible... Steven finds out how to do sweeps on a bass.

But seriously. Sweep picking is entirely possible on a bass, you just need to use a pick, which I never do for bass. For those who don't know what sweep picking (sweeping) is, look it up on one of them new fangled search engines you youngsters have. Then listen to some Between the Buried and Me and Protest the Hero. You'll get the just of it then.

Gomez definitely had the better video. Not only did he have an original song, but the video quality was better... with subtitles!

@YogiTheBassBear Arif doesn't sweep to my knowledge, maybe on the new record coming out, but I don't think so. All he does is tap and slap. I do know a bunch of the solo bassists like Adam Nitti do a bunch of sweeping with their fingers though. That's some absolutely crazy stuff.

My man, it just seems that you don't share my sense of humour.  This video was made as a joke. If you were looking for a serious video of a guy sweep picking on a bass, you could have just stopped the video right after I started talking about brooms.
