I bought your DVD on alternate picking. I must say that it is the best found. It really uncovers the secrets and the technique under alternate picking. I am sure of that because me myself discovered some of the technique, but your dvd has opened my eyes more, finding what i as doing wrong. I am working on it. Thanks!! No one out there explains the real issues on alternate picking.

if you are going from one string to another adjacent string, and your pick stroke just prior to the change is directed at the next string, do you continue that picking motion to hit it (economy)? Or would you hit the next string with an opposite-direction pick stroke?

@MapleLeafAce Most often I use alternate picking which is opposite pick strokes all the times. But I sometimes use economy picking also. It depends on what I'm playing. Some lines are ridiculously hard to play with alternate picking but quite easy with economy and some things are simply not possible to play with economy picking. So I really enjoy being able to do both. Thanks for commenting.
