Scientist and other researchers as well as companies studies how to save fuels and increase gas mileage. Despite all this, there are a few devices such as these that actually do work. The Tornado Fuel Saver is one of them, and I know because I've personally used it. If you really do want to buy a respected member of the 'devices that improve fuel economy' family, look into investing in one of these wonderful products. Generally, a significant number of these devices were found to not work at all, or to work below their stated function.

  • the title of this video should be Amazing Fuel Saving Devices That Do Absolutely Nothing.

  • THIS IS A SCAM . DONT BUY IT

  • @JRYANG9000 You sound like one of the scam artists who are trying to sell this ineffective product. A swirling mass of air creates a low pressure zone, which is not what an engine needs. An engine works best with higher pressure. That's why turbo chargers work so well. Swirling air does not help mix the gas with the air. The carburetor is optimally designed to mix fuel and air. This device would do nothing for a fuel injected engine, which sprays fuel directly into the cylinders.

  • These devices don't work. Studies have been conducted that prove that these things are absolutely ineffective and can even cause your car to work harder. They are a waste of money. Study how a carburetor works. Any spinning air would be disrupted by the choke. It would do no good in fuel injected engines as well, as the fuel is sprayed directly into the cylinder, making the swirling air ineffective. Doesn't swirling air cause lower pressure? That would choke out the engine.

  • i installed TWO Tornado intake devices on my '94 F-150 302cid (required 2 because of the dual-throttle body). Immediately noticed a funny wheezing sound when i stepped on the gas. Acceleration became sluggish and the truck just seemed to lack power. I yanked em out the same day i installed them. The ol' girl runs great now! i realised why these wont work on throttle-body intakes; they are restricting air-flow and once the air vortex is interrupted by the throttle plate.

  • @JRYANG9000 Sooo, I want a nice smooth air flow so the tornado is able to screw it all up by trying to make it spin? Do you realize that doesn't make any sense.

With the car companies having to meet mileage standards if these things worked they would be putting the on cars from the factory. They don't work.

  • @rhyswalnz muppets what a unique analogy. LOL.

  • yeah heaps of muppets dont know how to properly install these things, and they dont work in everything, the longer the hose from the throttle body to the airbox, generally the better they go, and for things that dont have a throttle body like so many diesels, better again, i put one in my hilux and it made a noticeable difference in both power and economy. some people just get onto these sites just to have a winge about anything they watch. sad little lives you must have..

  • Alot of dumbasses don't know how to use the Tornado fuel saver. I got one and it works great and improve gas mile and performance. Your intake system must have a smooth air flow as possible in order to have a tornado form inside the intake tube. Alot of dumbasses don't know that. This is why they think it's a fake and scam.

  • For some engines these things might work, but in reality:

    1. You CAN'T install them after the throttle body which is part of the manifold..

    2. Diverting anything - even airflow - means diverting and reducing energy. You're slowing down (and NOT compressing either) the intake air.

    3. If somehow the air vortex DID make it past the throttle plate, then with carbies your fuel would be spun out of the airstream onto the plenum walls.. like many air filter boxes use to remove dust particles..!
