I met Allan Winn today at Brooklands-he very kindly took a goodly chunk of time from what I'm sure must be a busy schedule to explain various niceties of this magnificent design to me. As for the car-I could have cheerfully spent all day admiring it!

@ckeith1987 yes I know but the sections of tarmac that are left are in dire shape they should restore what original bits they can and reconnect the track; even if not in original configuration its better than letting the anneals of time swallow it up, cheers

@rollerpodger unfortunatly there are now buildings where the track used to be so it will never be restored to its former glory

all these rich buggars and they cant cough up a few quid to restore the track at Brooklands always boggled my mind

I also know for a fact that the RAF used this car to test the quality of thier parachetes after makeing repairs to them in the 50's & 60's
