A clip I borrowed from Lorenzo's Psychedelic Salon (link to podcast)

This clip is taken from a talk titled "The Ethnobotany of Shamanism. In this clip Terence gives us his take on Enlightenment.

"Before enlightenment, chop wood carry water; After enlightenment, chop wood carry water"-Wu Li

I made this clip because it resonates with a very important concept that is often the subject of very stimulating and productive debates. Usually a debate that is settled by the silent ones smiling in the back of the room.

"If with kindly generosity
One merely has the wish to soothe
The aching heads of other beings,
Such merit knows no bounds.

No need to speak, then, of the wish
To drive away the endless pain
Of each and every living being,
Bringing them unbounded excellence.

Could our father or our mother
Ever have so generous a wish?
Do the very gods, the rishis, even Brahma
Harbor such benevolence as this?" -Shantideva (The Way of The Bodhisattva)

  • @moulingalette but psychedelics force it on you. these are really crazy experiences, and i dont think you could flag either the psychedelic or the meditative methods as being more or less difficult than the other. i've tried both and they both have their own aspects that are great. but i do agree with you, i think if attilaclark was a true Buddhist on a path of discipline, he would be above talkin shit on people because they took a different path to a similar destination

  • @nottwozero nope i only go by what u SAY.

u cant say " dont attached to the line". it was simply incorrect.

thats what matters i couldnt care less what u meant at this point.

this might help: we're all guilty by being born, to want something negates it's moral value, so dont worry about being perfect, there IS no 'perfect line of RIGHTEOUSNESS' to attach to.

this isnt just my opinion, this is straightforward logic, one should only do good things because one enjoys them. ask a guru

  • @natmanprime Dude; I know what you meant. You don't, or don't care to, know what I mean. That has been the problem here all along. All the best.

  • @nottwozero i literally called u a jerk, and ur still replying? what happened to 'bowing out'?

    ok look.

when u drive a car, ur not following a line r u? ur just CREATING the line. u create it by not being attached, like i said at the start.

attachment ITSELF is to scrape the outside barrier.

as long as u stay off the otuside barrier, and dont cut across the inside either, ur on the track. and ur ''on the 'line'. if u become a good driver, u 'keep' a good 'racing line'.

    automatic

  • cont. Granted this was overdue for me as an individual but another thing that happened in one of my dreams was I was completely separated from my body and I WAS the universe or Truth or w/e you want to call it. People who don't have access to these wonderful plants/fungi can benefit greatly from practicing lucid dreaming...and honestly for people who do have access but are wary of drugs for whatever reason, this is a great way to get started! Just my input, thanks for reading. Much love <3

  • The part I believe that a lot of people are missing and don't realize is...there's a way to do what he's saying without Psychedelics. I know he says people have tried to show him and there hasn't been one good enough. There's a legal way to do this and it's called Lucid Dreaming. Ok, you got me...it is a psychedelic...but one you need not pay for, it only takes practice. I had a near death experience once (woke up sobbing for over 4 hours) and had this exact experience he's talking about. cont.

  • @natmanprime I have found this whole exchange very challenging to masturbate to.

  • @nottwozero hmm...and ur still replying.

    i think u enjoy this don't you?

any way that stuff u just said, that's called projection.

    don't masturbate.

    : )

  • @natmanprime (Scenario: nottwozero, head to one side, tears of awe and respect in eyes) YES! Oh, I feel as if I should be paying you for this; I'm sure you are above those sorts of worldly concerns, though. You know, when I first commented, I didn't realize I was entering into conflict, but you have shown me what is right. I can only hope this psychic flagellation will purify me. Your altruistic dedication to this dialogue is appreciated. It must be hard to cope with my foolishness.

  • @nottwozero so, you haven't bowed out yet, ur still replying...verbosely...so you're a liar as well...
