Ford Reveals 2010 Mustang GT

The redesigned 2010 Mustang GT powered by a 315HP 4.6L V8.

EPA rated 16/23 city/highway for the GT and 17/23 for the V6. These vehicles should be available in late Spring 2009. Later in the year the twin turbo eco boost V6 should hit the market, offering better fuel economy and GT power.

the pontiac g8 gt with a 361hp 6.1L V8 does the same or better

Agreed. You won't see me rolling in a Mustang V6. I just picked up a Corvette C5 and got 30mpg on the drive home...in a 5.7L V8

guys i sat in the 2010 mustang gt and i have to say the interior quality is horribleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. they should could call this ford plastic GT or mustang plastic edition. the interior is made of 99% plastic. even my 96 civic si has less plastic than this thing. i was planning to buy mustang GT but after seating in this thing hell no. go for the 2010 Camaro at least it has better interior and more power. seat in mustang and then you understand what i am saying

well i wouldn't get the camaro either, but you're right about the mustang interior. buy a used corvette it's faster and nicer than either.

Probably. Of the big 3 going under, Ford has the best chance of staying alive anyway. That Mustang looks pretty awesome though, seems like they are finally bring "muscle" back into their supposed muscle car.

why o why won't they put an ecoboost engine in a mustang. The Taurus makes more power than the Mustang GT for godsake and gets better gas milage

You know, I just had to give you a thumbs up for that. I have asked that question since I finished my Ford factory training earlier this year.

I like the good engineering put into the new (NOT the old 2006 and earlier model) mustang. The platform itself is a work of art.

The 4.6l modular v8 however, is a POS shit-box. Youd think that it be a no-brainer, right?

saltoholic the v6 ecoboost is replacing the 4.0l v6 in the regular mustang in the next year or two and the 4.6l v8 is getting replaced with the 5.0l 400 hp/ft lb coyote as well. 2010 was a body and interior redesign year and with the 2012 models the engines will all be replaced. Maybe even for the 2011 model year as far as the v6 goes. Once those hit the people who bought '10 or '11 mustangs are gonna be p.o.ed. Personally im getting a mustang but not till i can get one with the 5.0l in it.

Don't know why you would say that, a learner can only have up to 250CC and as far as im concerned and a lot of bike magazine writers, Kawasaki are the best in the 250CC category, It has fairly decent acceleration and stylish looks and shove a yoshimura slip on on there and it sounds great. Think what you want, I am just getting this for a few months while on my L's then when on P's, moving up to a Ninja 650.
