I'm happy for you that you're happy..And if a game ever feels like a job then it's lost it's purpose of being enjoyable and quitting for you seem to be good. But you come across like other people who like to play, can't have a social life, a significant other, go to school, work, etc..It's almost as if you were using it as an excuse, and that now that you've quit, you can judge others who can manage their time? Doesn't seem right. Over all though good documentary, and i'm sorry about that girl.

I was very much like this. Guild disbanding was very difficult for me too as i felt like i was betraying all my guildies.I left a month before Cata was released and glad i have never returned. it's such a great game but it was too much for me.

No top comment ? So like this, and we will have one.

good vid///i've seen this addiction up close and personal...pretty deep!
-
Gosh now i wanna be an achivment hunter and start a guild.

Honestly, but the amount of WoW footage you choose to use for this documentary, I am certain you aren't truly over the game and will play again within the next 6 months. I have seen many people have quitting parties only to start playing in a few weeks due to some new content. Good luck in whatever you choose to do.

To add to purfias's comment...
There is this great thing called self-control. My three roommates and I managed to play wow 4 hours a day efficiently, sleep 8 hours, work, and attend college. None of us ended up fat nor socially deprived. I hate how people stereo type wow players and gamers in general. We all have a 4.0 GPA, long relationships with significant others who play wow at our college, and great health.
I stopped playing since I am joining the armed forces and need to focus on that.

@Nikoleiz so..hmm.. ok let me get this straight. Just cause I play wow I can not keep a good social life? I can not go to the gym and I can not progress as a person? Well I hate to break it to you, but I have a gf of 2 years now, I go to school and hang out with my friends after, I go to the gym on a regular basis.
Now the thing is, people speaking like they know shit when they dont. Just cause some moron cant do all this and play, doesnt count for all of us. Jackass.

great video, i use to play WoW and was heavily addicted to it. but i only played private servers. after two years of playing i realized i became socially awkward to talk to people, guys and girls alike. i had friends but playing WoW was my priority. my weight went from 165 pounds to 200. in 2 years. now i quit and trying to get my life on track as i finish my last year in collage. glad to see some one was kinda like me !

viewed this via Documentary Storm & was quite moved by this.
I've never played WoW but I can relate about addictions (food!) and avoidance (of IRL) and heartbreak (LDR) and so I thought this relevant for so many reasons.
I agree with the person who said it deserves much more views!
Are you the person this video is based on? or are you just a reuploader?

Good short doc. Definitely light-hearted. Do you think there are far worse Warcraft addictions, compared to yours? I would presume there are
augie666 4 days ago
@augie666 I would say that there, my "addiction" was nowhere near as bad as some of the addictions you may hear about in the news, although mine effected my life in both negative and some positive ways, I don't think I had fully sold my soul to the game.
I do know of people who have that very close commitment to the game and don't realise the way it is effecting them and those around them, I think it is quite dangerous to some degree as the game never really ends.

Was it tough for you to make this video? I mean, having to go back into something that you were addicted to?
omfgstupid 1 week ago in playlist Liked videos 2
@omfgstupid To a degree it was quite tough, especially going through my emotions again, especially with the Norwegian Girl and also how I felt the game made me become, but it also allowed me to reflect on the good times I had with the game.
I didn't really feel compelled to start playing or get addicted into the game again, as I was only truly playing to that degree when I was leading a guild and running organised raids. Making the film felt more like a farewell to the game for me.
