SCREW Façade!

Okay guys, time for another SCREW review I'm afraid. I really thought this game had potential, until I found out about it.

Basically, you visit these two swinger friends of yours who are going through a rough patch. It is OBVIOUS that they want a little more than just cocktails, but as soon as you put the moves on, they panic. I didn't find out until after I recorded this that you can actually kiss Jason and Carmen (okay I can't remember the character's names, sue me). And also you can choose the name Sergio. I regret not making this selection.

I like the idea of open ended games like this, but the execution is always so fucking shoddy. I would rather the clunkiness of text-to-speech talking to me rather than poorly thought out pre-arranged dialogue.

Having said that, their SketchUp apartment is kinda neat and I like the ability of messing up their decor (you can move stuff around on the shelves).

Being thrown out of the building for doing NOTHING AT ALL was a huge, huge disappointment though. I'm going to play this a few more times, maybe David can do better.

I think my experience is summed up like this though:

TRIP: There's something we need to celebrate.
SCOTT: I farted

I absolutely love this game! I know that the drama is kinda shit, but the game's really more of an experiment to me. I'm interested to see the new game they're working on called "The Party."
