DDE/AE Daytime Running Light Wiring Harness Install

I just completed the install of my Umnitza DRL wiring harness on my E39 this afternoon. The only tricky part was making sure the harness is not visible to the regular observer. I did not cover these steps during the installation but I am more than willing to discuss ways to make the harness blend in with the factory harness under the hood.

I'll be making another video showing how I hid the harness from plain view. Be on the lookout for it.

The harness should be able to work on most cars and setups can be completely customized if you have the knowledge and understanding of basic electronic principles.

I just got my djauto's today with the harness they supply and i was wondering that by tapping into the accessory wire do the lights run all the time (daytime running lights)?

@harpinder01 Yes, tapping into the accessory wire will turn them on all the time when the key is in POS2 or ignition.

Doubt its a 3/16th size - BMWs are German therefore it will be a metric measurement! (mm not inches!)

@AngryJoeMan Yeah, everything is metric...except for the nut that holds the negative terminal on my battery. No metric socket would fit. I don't know why.

Thanks for the video. I recently installed an Umnitza predator chromium after watching your video. However, I'm interested in installing a remote control operation using the second trigger wire you didn't use. Do you or any other users know how to wire the second trigger wire to operate with my car remote?

@obehi26 I have a general idea on how to use the second wire as a remote, however I haven't really looked into is a whole lot as of yet. I'm actually in the process of getting the second trigger wire to work with the lock/unlock function on my car. It's just a real pain in the ass.

Just wondering will these work on the pre-lci & lci halos on the E60? or do they have special ones for those?

hey bro please help me out i jsut got my depo lights exacly like these , so on the light part did you go black on black and blue on solid red?

@reinier1234 The E39 is just slightly more difficult to make this work on but I'm going to make this happen and when I get around to doing it I'll make sure to make another video.

Yes, the Angel Eyes are LED's. They are Umnitza Predator Orion V2's and they have 60 LED's per ring.

@foleygac yea you are right, that harness is for the e46. yea i noice the DME is on that passenger side. thats another way to do it though, throught the dooor. time consuming. but hey, this vid helpd me alot though, first time seeing it. thanks for the vid! :] oh btw is your angel eye LED?
