"This Is my Father's World / For The Beauty Of The Earth Medley" is the title of this song, and This Is my Father's World is one of the classic hymns we use at Shallowater UMC to worship God.

Quality audio postings of classic hymns in simple, congregational arrangements suitable for learning are notoriously difficult to find in any medium - much less on the internet. The versions of these hymns posted here are - overall - the best selections we can find. If You have a suggestion as to a better version available online, leave us a comment with the URL address and we will consider changing the video. The group Glad is singing this medley of This Is my Father's World / For The Beauty Of The Earth.

We have this video posted as a way of teaching those who come to our church the words to the song. As such a teaching instrument, it is our understanding that this music & video is legal under the Copyright Disclaimer in Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976 where allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. Lyrics:

This Is my Father's World / For The Beauty Of The Earth

Verse 1
This is my Father's world, and to my listening ears...
All nature sings - and round me rings - the music of the spheres

Verse 2
This is my Father's world - The birds their carols raise
The morning light the lily white declare their Maker's praise

Chorus 1
This is my Father's world - He shines in all that's fair
In rustling grass, i hear Him pass - He speaks to me everywhere
He speaks to me - He speaks to me...everywhere

Verse 3
This is my Father's world - O, let me ne'er forget
That though the wrong seems oft so strong - God is the Ruler yet
God is the Ruler yet

Chorus 2
This is my Father's world - The battle is not done
Jesus who died shall be satisfied, and earth and heaven be one

Bridge
For the beauty of the earth - For the beauty of the skies
For the Love which from our birth over and around us lies
Christ, our God, to Thee we raise this our hymn of joyful praise

Chorus 3
This is my Father's world - The battle is not done
Jesus who died shall be satisfied, and earth and heaven be one
And earth and heaven be one

Lyrics: This Is my Father's World

Verse 1
This is my Father's world, and to my listening ears...
All nature sings - and round me rings - the music of the spheres
This is my Father's world, i rest me in the thought of
Rocks & trees of skies & seas - His hand the wonders wrought

Verse 2
This is my Father's world - The birds their carols raise
The morning Light...the lily white declare their Maker's praise
This is my Father's world - He shines in all that's fair
In the rustling grass, i hear Him pass - He speaks to me everywhere

Verse 3
This is my Father's world - O, let me ne'er forget that
though the wrong seems oft so strong, God is the Ruler yet
This is my Father's world - The battle is not done
Jesus, Who died, shall be satisfied, and earth & heaven be one
