@samdathi Hey, at least I learned how they might have made the mistake. Wikipedia says ´The 1984 Nobel Prize laureate in Medicine and Physiology, Niels K. Jerne, used Chomsky's generative model to explain the human immune system, equating "components of a generative grammar … with various features of protein structures". The title of Jerne's Stockholm Nobel lecture was "The Generative Grammar of the Immune System".´ I´ve stopped assuming the media or ´journalists´ check their own sources.

So a small error like this makes them clueless, but the almost unanimous chorus from the US media that "Iraq has weapons of mass destruction and plans to create a mushroom cloud over NYC" is ok by you?

At least hundreds of thousands of people including over 4,000 dead and 30,000 maimed US solders dont result from calling Chomsky a nobel winner.

By the way, the reporter is a seasoned journalist who worked for the Guardian, BBC, CNN, Bloomburg before PressTV.

You don't need to find any study about Taliban(who are Afghan)/Afghan reparations. In the years just prior to the Taliban the country was in complete caos (a relative term I must admit) so when they arrived they were welcomed with open arms. Then ensued relative carm. One exapmle = UN survey of a 95% drop in drug prduction. Now they have gone and again the country is descending into complete Caos. And the Lacky Karzai cannot go anywhere without full protection - tells you all you need to know.
