actually for a correction m203's dont ahve to travel a certain distance to explode.... they have to travel 2 full rotations... which is why sometimes they explode closer then other times... it depends on wind condition and other things to see how fast it rotates...

I don't know about in real life, but in AA they have to travel a distince comprable it 2 full rotations in real life.

Actually, no. Since they are m203 grenades, they have to travel a certain distance before they expolde. I turned down the gravity and bounced them off of sufaces very close to me. They bounced off and floated because of the low gravity. That's why they float.
