Im really into alternative medicine and experimenting. Ice water therapy, massage for hair, nail and height growth(although not crazy growth) really DOES work!!

OMG! Im young but there was a time when i had panic attacks and had high blood pressure. Then I started soaking my feet in freezing water morning and night for 4 minutes. Over time my bp dropped significantly.I replaced caffeine teas with herbals. Exercise and cranbery/cocnut juice, fiber also helped. High sugar and caffeine will DEFINETLY speed up your heart rate because my heart always beats fast after I have caffeine and high sugar.

i really need this right now, had a scare the other day, and ive had high bp for a long time, and never did anything about it, i really need to get on this

Generally excellent advice, but low-fat isn't really good for you. What you want is healthy fats in your diet. Avoid trans fats (Crisco, margarine) and those rancid, high omega-6, processed "vegetable" oils (corn, cottonseed, and soybean oil).

Is it really the sodium/salt?
Think about the Chinese who consume like 2x the daily recommended US amount and they don't have high blood pressure epidemics like the US and a 1/4 of the heart disease.
In actuality the AHA recently "discovered" that a low salt diet my be HARMFUL!
I think its the GMOs sneaking their way into our diets, along with entirely too much high fructose corn sweetner! A diet high in processed foods is the killer not necessarily salt, we NEED salt in our diets

@Besos41 Two popular products are NoSalt and NuSalt. It's important to ask your doctor if they're right for you though as they can artificially increase your Potassium intake and interfere with some Blood Pressure Drugs. Another great idea is products like Mrs. Dash that are just flavorful spices, without the sodium.
