My son used to have a blankie that he carried everywhere, drug through all manner of dirt and germs. He never wanted it washed because he didn't want to do without it, even through the wash and dry cycles. I finally washed it with a stool pushed up to the washing machine, lid open, so he could keep his eyes on it. As it churned in the wash, my son would say, "Hi Blankie!" and "Bye Blankie!"
We sometimes cling to sins in much the same way. They become as comforting as an old blanket and its stench even dear and familiar. But it was for these sins, our Savior and Redeemer shed his own blood.
Come to Jesus, though tattered and soiled, and He will cleanse you whiter than snow. May our desire always be to live lives of holiness and purity for our precious Lord
the harmony is amazing
