@JRock4now yes the useless 90's killed phil.
-
What was the setlist?
-
@tbktb there's several factors but probably what happened is that he stopped taking care of his voice and drank alot more booze and smoked alot more too in that short time period...I dunno, there was an interview somewhere of somebody asking him about that high singing and he said something like "I'm not gonna say I can't do it anymore, I'm just gonna say that it will take alot of practice and commitment to get back to that range" which is true I guess considering he's much older now

@tbktb Thanks for that link, I was looking for that all evening yesterday!

damn phil was a master of high notes, i was looking for live footage of him singing high notes and kind of find more than i actually was hoping for..
what really happend to this great vocalist? i'm tired of hearing people blame drugs.it seems unrealistic that someone could just loose vocal range that quickly.
there is only one live recording i've heard of phil singing the high notes at the end part of cemetary gates watch?v=ZfHkb9wkqhQ (from 1990).
seriously, what the fuck happend?
how is this the worst album with anselmo!?!?! its the best for me.

To me this was Pantera reaching their heavy peak. It doesn’t get any louder than this. They got the full package. Ripping guitars, hard hitting drums, thundering bass and great vocals. Played like this Metal is an unstoppable force.
