Culture is where a human potential is bloomed, be it scientific education, musical bonanza or literary exponentials. Bengal was such a place for which British left the palaces of DELHI and went to CALCUTTA and kept it as capital of India for 200yrs. after Independence NEHRU & co did the reverse as they feared Bengal and Bengali would dominate the HINDI regime.

It's the tradition Of Bengal,if Rabindra nath had to come and ask india to give him honor for gitanjali> for which he got NOBEL but truly very few indians know and understand Tagore.tagore wrote many thousands better gitanjali but india had no clue..
RAVI SHANKAR is the same. satyajit got oscar for pather pachali (1st pic)> govt.of India refused to send it to berlin >bollywood said"yeah kia hai".it was sent by Bc.roy >it got berlin,french and oscar awards.
