COOL! I expect no problem as our North Bend, WA dealer is fantastic. Just bought my second TREK -- and another for my hubby, so that's 4 in the house.
-
@RamblinLamb no, you have to go through a dealer. It sounds like it was the dealer with the problem. The warranty is for the original purchaser only.
-
So maybe it was the dealer that was the problem? Can injured frames be sent to Trek USA direct?

I've been there in 2009, came all the way from Brazil to realize a dream, to see the TDF. Such a different place, when i arrived up there i told to my gril "we've reached moon" haha. Climbed all the way up from Bedoin on foot! Missed my bike. When i got up there, could not feel my legs.

Trek is great company but their customer service is lacking. If you think I'm wrong buy a Trek or Gary Fisher(same co.) and crack it( I was in the warranty period). They will (lbs) do anything to talk you out of the warranty cause Trek makes it so difficult to warranty a frame, you should see the paper work my shop had to fill out. One Trek dealer (in the world) tell me I'm wrong please and restore my faith in this company. Oh yeah............ Great video

Hi Dirt Dog,
There's no paperwork - the dealer just needs to take a photo and submit the info through our online warranty claim system. Date of purchase, model, serial #, desc of the problem, etc. Simple stuff.
