-

-
are better the sony cameras in image
-
Does the camera record to tapes or does it record to a digital medium.
-
hello how can stop the noise created in the image from the camera....
-
sound???
-
But FX7 is not shoulder mount right? I am in the market for a shoulder mountable camera and this seems like the best choice so far because I want the option to shoot HDV tape AND shoot 24p HD (720 is fine).
-
were can i get one of those cameras
-
haha your exactly like me i sware the only reason im not going for XL h1s price range but XL h1a its around 6999 here in toronto with tax it goes around 8 grand kinda expensive if you think about it.
im looking into jvc for the moment i hate the fact is not 1080p or else would sh..ted on canon price wise. :(
thankyou for the info im start doing some research on "Scarlet", Can You Shoot A Music Video with JVC HD200? quality matters alot
-
I do love the ergonomics of the XL series so that is a tough question. I was originally planning on getting the XL H1, but the price made me reconsider.
XL = $9,000 at time of purchase
HD200 = $5,500 at time of purchase
My next camera will most likely be a RED Scarlet when it comes out. Something about 4k Super HD at 1-150fps makes me happy. For about $3,750 I think it might be worth looking into. Most definitely hidden costs, but still that's how it always is.

quick question i know u went with jvc but i see you got Canon in there too, but if u had go with XL H1A, cuz of fully 1080ip real time recording would you change it?
720/24p, 25p, 30p, 50p, and 60p i like but 1080 would been better
-
No, There is a standard tripod screw mount on the bottom, on the silver tripod adapter plate. BUT! keep in mind all the weight will be towards the back.
-
do i really need a tripod adapter if i have a really good, and sturdy tripod?
-
No problem :)
-
Gottcha. Very interesting. Thanks so much Josh!!!!

The timecode is always going to be present on the tape and any major NLE system will be able to read and generate timecode. I mistyped timecode lol, the genlock is what I meant by timecode and that is just used for multicamera shoots so that all the cameras have exactly the same timecode on the tape. :)
-
Thanks Josh....Is there anyway of adding timecode if you don't get the 250u?....A program that you can attach the timecode to in post production? If that makes sense at all.
-
the best model is the 250u. The 100u and the 110u are essentially the same except for the 110 is an update model. The 200u and the 250u are the same camera internally, the only difference is that the 250u has the studio pack (genlock, timecode, remote, etc). Each camera is essentially the same the only difference is that the 100 and 110 can only shoot in 24 and 30 while the 200 and 250 can shoot in 24/30/60 and 25/30/50.

Which is the better model of the JVCs.....the higher numbered model???
100u, 110u, or 250u....I hear the better model is the 100u?

What footage are you comparing to? I have not seen anything from the FX7, it is possible it looks better, but I have my doubts.

Hi,
Is there any Recording button near the zoom buttons ?
bibopennah9999 2 years ago
There are 3 recording buttons, one on top on the handle, one on the left side of the body near the power button, and one in the usual spot on the hand grip near the zoom
