@katt329 How dare you diss the Mighty Purple, they're a class act whoever's in the band (ok it was a mistake getting Joe Lynn Turner in, ha ha). Nah seriously just kidding man. I enjoy the band's career as a whole but you do have a point. It will be a bit farcical if Paicey ever decides to quit then they'll be no original members left. I do rate Morse (saw DP live in '96 and '98) but Blackmore and the MK2 lineup were something extra special.

its still purple, its just a different era! Ritchie is amazing and it will never sound like it did without him. But Purple is still VERY creative (example, Purpendicular.)
Its not fair to compare era's as they are excellent in their own right

Purple are now a circus act,its gillans band now,even jon lord has had enuff and left,without blackmore there is no purple,now i wonder if ritchie got coverdale,lord hughes on the road,could they call it DEEP PURPLE? after all it has 2 founding members.....
